Tony, some wonderful memories here. And friendships that run deep as deep as yours cannot be overstated or underestimated. I have a close aquaintance who knows Mike and Jules and related the news to me. Iโm hoping to speak with Mike when heโs ready and well. Thank you. ๐
This has been an excellent two-parter and has made me reflect on my own relationships - and where they went right/wrong.
One of my favourite ever gigs, is when 'Dead Men Walking' with Mike Peters appeared in my hometown of Wrexham back in 2001. That incarnation also included Kirk Brandon, Pete Wylie and Glen Matlock and was a fantastic night. Having Mike Peters and Karl Wallinger as fellow North Walians gave us something to be proud about musically when I was growing up in the eighties.
Thanks for these thought provoking articles and all the best wishes to Mike Peters and his family.
Thank you Mick, I'm glad it can connect and resonate and inspire others to reflect also. I had a lot of fun at the Apartments and in the Red looking at all the posters and all Mike's musical adventures I had missed over the years!
Tony, such a profound and poignant piece on so many levels. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to Mike and to you, my friend. We need to get you up here for our "Vino & Vinyl" nights.
